I’ve had this lens on my wish list for a very long time, and finally decided to buy it at the same time I got a new (gently used) original 5D (didn’t want to take the chance on the potential autofocus issues of the Canon 5D Mark II). When I bought my new fancy lens and older used 5D at Glazer’s, the guy who checked me out chuckled and said something along the lines of “You must be a professional”. “Why?” I said. He simply looked down and looked back and forth between the old (cheap) used 5D and the new (expensive) 24mm lens. I laughed. Meaning: pros usually place a greater value in the glass than the body. 🙂
Shot from said lens: (24mm f/1.4 1/800 sec., full manual exposure, natural light)
Need I say more?
(by the way, that’s Shelly and you will see more of her very soon!)
